Groundskeeper at Yeovil Recreation Centre for Yeovil Town Council

37 hours per week (permanent)

SCP 4 - 8: £24,404 to £26,409 plus Local Government Pension Scheme

We are looking for an experienced Groundskeeper to join our small team at Yeovil Recreation Centre who together manage and maintain a broad range of outdoor sports facilities at the award winning Yeovil Recreation Centre. This well loved and busy site offers public open space, grass pitches, golf, play spaces for children, a MUGA, an AGP and athletics arena along with two pavilion buildings. You will need qualifications or experience in managing sports turf and artificial surfaces and a willingness to learn areas of the business that may be new to you. The role is predominantly Monday to Friday, but flexibility to work some evenings and weekends to ensure the long opening hours of the site can be covered is required. You must have great customer service skills as this position is front facing and will involve plenty of face-to-face interaction with the visiting public and sports customers.
