Overview
We are seeking an experienced Engineer to join our Consultancy department at Labosport Ltd and play a key role in delivering high-quality projects across the sports surface construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and collaborating with our consultants on the planning, design, and execution of projects. A strong background in surveying, design, and technical project delivery is essential, with experience in drainage design considered highly advantageous. Working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to feasibility studies, planning applications, tender preparation, and contract administration while helping ensure that all designs meet regulatory and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical support to consultants in surveying, design, and project coordination.
• Assist and, where appropriate, lead in the preparation of feasibility studies, planning applications, specifications, and tenders.
• Apply engineering principles to the design and assessment of civil engineering infrastructure, including drainage, flood risk, and surface water systems and attenuation.
• Liaise with clients, team members, and local authorities to ensure efficient delivery of project objectives.
• Coordinate with other disciplines—such as electrical and landscape design—to deliver integrated solutions.
• Participate in internal and client meetings to track progress, identify challenges, and propose innovative design solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and authority requirements throughout the design process.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
• Degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• Proven experience supporting consultants with surveying, design, and technical project activities.
• Proficiency in drainage design and knowledge of relevant design software (e.g., MicroDrainage, Civil 3D, Autodesk InfoDrainage) is advantageous.
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of CAD and other civil design tools.
• Full driving licence with willingness to travel as required

Monday to Friday
35 hours per week
Location:
Nottingham Head Office/Hybrid working and travel to sites
