Grounds Supervisor

West Herts Sports Club wish to recruit a Grounds Supervisor at their Park Avenue Site in Watford. The successful candidate will be self- motivated and able to work independently on their own as well as interact with Club members from the various sporting sections. The Club maintains:

• 2 Cricket Squares.

• 4 grass football pitches

• 1 Multi Use Games Area

• 10 Tennis Courts (3 Grass).

Main Duties:

Day to Day Maintenance of all types of playing surfaces. A contactor will help with general upkeep

of grounds (ie litter picking, leaf clearing weeding etc)

Regular marking of playing surfaces.

Work within a set Capital and Expense Budget

Safe use and operation of equipment and machinery used in grounds maintenance.

Adherence to current HS&E safety regulations and best practice.

Working Pattern:

1. 37.5 hrs per week.
2. You will be working 52 weeks per year.
3. 20 days contractual holiday plus bank holidays
4. Flexibility in working hours will be required in peak times particularly during the summer and can be discussed with line manager.

Ideal Candidate:

• General knowledge and experience of pitch preparation.

• Level 2 in Sport Turf Management

• PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates

• Experience in preparation of cricketing and tennis grass surfaces.

• UK Driving licence

• A can do attitude.
