
Learning Programme Lead
We are looking for an experienced Learning Programme Lead to join our expanding team. As the Learning Programme Lead, you will be responsible for implementing the development of learning materials (face to face (F2F) / online) as well as the delivery and development of online qualifications/courses within the GMA.
You will be applying your high level of expertise in Learning Management Systems (LMS), Quality Assurance (QA), and the management of educational standards, particularly aligned with the Department of Education’s matrix Standards. You will also coordinate and uphold the delivery of GMA Learning provision, ensuring that both f2f and online learning meets high standards of quality, compliance, and effectiveness, linking to the GMA’s Grounds Management Framework.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead in the development of new qualifications and review existing courses to ensure alignment with industry needs and best practices.
- Support the development of GMA’s training and certification strategy.
- Oversee the administration and day-to-day operations of the LMS.
- Evaluate and provide feedback on the learner's applications and select the student body, support for online learners.
- Mark students’ work and provide feedback and manage students to ensure they meet their full potential.
- Provide key support on all quality assurance activities to ensure the GMA meets matrix Standards and other relevant educational standards.
- Develop, implement, and monitor QA processes and guidelines.
- Conduct regular audits, evaluations, and learner feedback analyses.
The ideal candidate(s) will have proven knowledge and be experienced in:
- Learning and assessment: Develop relevant learning and assessment materials at a range of levels including those aligned to nationally recognised qualifications.
- Student management: Manage and support student cohorts to ensure full potential is met.
- Project management and organisational skills
- Software Proficiency: Competence in using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM and proven high level of expertise in LMS platform e.g. Totara.
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or higher in Education, Learning Technologies, or a related field together with a recognised teaching qualification.
- Effective Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities including excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Quality Assurance: Work with national qualification body(ies) and quality assurance agencies to ensure relevant standards are met.
We are seeking candidates with typically 5 years’ experience working in training and education delivery in turf care/management or similar industry. You should have proven experience with QA frameworks and processes in an education setting, especially matrix Standards. Additionally, you will demonstrate familiarity with online learning trends, instructional design, and digital pedagogy. You will also have good time management skills with the ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities and be a resourceful and resilient problem solver. You should possess a valid full driving licence and be able to travel on GMA business and stay away overnight on a frequent basis, sometimes at short notice.

Salary and benefits
Salary is up to £30K plus pension, employee assistance programme, life assurance cover, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and Christmas closure.
