<h2>PART I: ABOUT THE GROUNDS AND GARDENS DEPARTMENT</h2>Winchester College has an exciting opportunity to appoint a Senior Gardener starting as soon as possible. &nbsp;&nbsp;The department consists of 10 staff which includes the:<ul><li>Head Groundsperson</li><li>Deputy Grounds person</li><li>Head Gardener</li><li>2 Senior Gardeners</li><li>3 Grounds Staff</li><li>1 Gardener</li><li>1 Grounds Assistant</li></ul>The Head Grounds person is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Department and reports to the Estates Bursar who is the Head of Department. This position reports to the Head Grounds person and Head Gardener.The Senior Gardener will be required to work closely with the Head Gardener to ensure day to day maintenance is carried out to the very highest of standards as well as creating and carrying out work programs within the College formal gardens. Are you a skilled grounds person, with experience in sports turf maintenance?&nbsp;Uppingham School is seeking a dedicated Sports Turf Grounds Person to join our Estates team, and play a key role maintaining 56 acres of high-quality playing fields and sports facilities.As a Sports Turf Grounds Person, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our sports surfaces, including natural and artificial pitches, are maintained to the highest standards. Your work will directly contribute to the performance, safety, and aesthetics of our grounds, supporting a full and varied games and sporting curriculum.In this varied role, you will undertake a range of maintenance responsibilities, including:&nbsp;<ul><li>Mowing, fertilising, aerating, irrigating, and repairing turf surfaces</li><li>Maintaining artificial pitches/courts</li><li>Managing equipment, and completing scheduled maintenance activities</li></ul>You will need previous experience of sports grounds maintenance and associated work, including experience of marking pitches, mowing, aerating, fertilising and weed control. Sports Turf Grounds Person

Hours: Full Time, all year round&nbsp;Contract: Permanent&nbsp;Salary: Competitive salary, plus benefits&nbsp;Bradfield College is looking for an Apprentice Groundsperson to assist with the maintenance, conservation and enhancement of our sports surfaces and grounds. As part of the role at the College, you will be enrolled in a Level 2 apprenticeship scheme.&nbsp;Working as part of a well-established Grounds team, you will maintain and prepare all of our outdoor sports areas including football pitches, cricket squares, athletics tracks, lacrosse fields, tennis courts, hockey pitches, hard courts and all-weather surfaces. This will involve the setup and dismantling of sports equipment, as well as seasonal and weather dependent duties, including snow clearance and salting paths and roads.&nbsp;Working hours will be 35 hours per week in winter and 45 hours in summer.&nbsp;You will be a positive and hardworking individual, with excellent communication skills and a full driving licence.
