About the Role:Joining the Pitch Performance department as a Skilled Grounds Person, based at the club’s Training Ground. Prepare and maintain all the football pitches and playing surfaces at The Training Ground in line with industry standards. Maintain all surrounding areas of pitches and any other designated area as reasonably requested.The Pitch Performance department plays a key role in ensuring the club’s professional players have the best surfaces possible to perform in both training and in matches. &nbsp;The Perks of the Job:<ul><li>Opportunity to access tickets for events at The City Ground.</li><li>Employee Assistance Programme.</li><li>Access to high street and gym discounts.</li><li>Discount within our Club shop.</li><li>Free on-site parking.</li></ul>Key Tasks and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist the Pitch Performance Manager/Deputy in the preparation, presentation and maintenance of all playing surfaces and football pitches at the Training Ground.</li><li>Ensure all areas are maintained and kept to the highest professional and industry standards.</li><li>Undertake all grounds management duties including but not limited to cutting, mowing, line marking, aerating, devoting, spraying, fertiliser and sand application, strimming and rotary mowing, and grooming of artificial surfaces.</li><li>Drive ride on mowers, tractors and using all associated attachments and implements responsibly, verti-draining and multi-coring.</li><li>Keep surrounding areas and Ground storage areas, etc tidy.</li><li>Wear any personal protective equipment provided, and comply with all Health and Safety guidelines, working in a manner not to cause injury or harm to yourself or anyone else, or the property of the Club.</li></ul>What are we looking for:<ul><li>Demonstrable experience in working as a grounds person preferably within a sporting institution.</li><li>NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Grounds Maintenance essential.
