About us

At Celtic Football Club, we take a particular pride in our reputation as a successful organisation that is built on the commitment and skills of our colleagues. It is our aim to recruit colleagues who have the relevant skills, qualifications and experience to make a positive and innovative contribution towards the continued success of the club. All applicants who have a disability and meet the minimum criteria for the job will be interviewed.

We believe that our people, both on and off the pitch, are our greatest asset. We are a club for all and are proud to be Celtic. Together, our people work hard and are highly committed to making Celtic a success. From our technical gurus behind the scenes to our friendly customer facing staff, everyone has an important part to play.

Here is what some of our colleagues have said about their experiences of working at Celtic Football Club:

John Craig, Superstore Manager/Young Hoops Club Manager: "Every day I feel lucky and privileged to be working for Celtic and I still have the same sense of excitement I had on my first day, many years ago. As Store Manager of the Superstore, my role is to ensure that our fans and customers receive the best possible shopping experience. We have a number of stores located in and around Glasgow and we have shops in Livingston, Dublin and Belfast. Working in the store gives me the chance to meet and talk to our fantastic fans. Every day brings something new and I really enjoy the fast-paced environment.

I am also the Manager of the Young Hoops Club which includes engaging with our young fans and arranging some fantastic events, such as activity days and giving the young fans a chance to meet players or to be selected as a match day mascot to lead the team on to the pitch. When recruiting for staff to work within our team in the retail department, we look for friendly, outgoing, adaptable individuals that are passionate about what we do."

Anthony McGrory, Academy Coach: "I am an Academy Youth Coach at Celtic and have been for several years. The Academy coaching staff pride themselves on, and are committed to, providing the highest quality coaching to every youth player at the club. We feel it is important to be role models and to create an environment where young people and children can develop and grow.

I would say that the three key elements required from any coach with ambitions to work for Celtic are firstly, being enthusiastic and passionate about developing players both on and off the pitch. Secondly, striving to encourage positive, outgoing and confident individuals and finally, creating a positive coaching environment. It’s safe to say that I love the job I am doing and I am grateful that I have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from, not only some of the best coaches but also the most talented youth players in the country."

Craig Steell, Conference & Events Operations Manager: "In addition to the matchday hospitality operations, I also run non-matchday events such as Christmas party nights, charity dinners, conferences and weddings at the stadium in our function suites. My team strive to deliver the highest possible level of service and we encourage our staff to develop and build on their skills and knowledge. It is rewarding to see them gain confidence in their ability throughout the season and to thrive in a fast paced environment.

European nights in particular are exciting to be part of and are often a favourite shift amongst staff members, from setting up areas in the stadium to ensuring a high quality service for all our fans and customers, it is a huge operation and very busy. Hard-working and customer focused, our staff are key to the success of our events."

Fiona Douglas, Accounts Assistant: "Ijoined Celtic FC in May 2013 as part of the Finance Team and even now I’m still in awe every day as I walk from the train station to Paradise. As part of the Finance Team my role is that of the Purchase Ledger Clerk, which entails dealing with suppliers of all goods and services provided to Celtic, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately and timeously.

My engagement with suppliers must be of the highest quality as with each and every correspondence I know that I am representing Celtic. I always follow all process guidelines to ensure a fully auditable trail of my work, ensuring the Club’s processes are of the highest standards. Being part of the team has given me the opportunity to bring my enthusiasm and commitment to help reinforce Celtic’s core values and to help promote inclusivity showing no bias on age, gender, religion, ethnicity or ability. I aim every day to ensure I live by the motto that we are a Club open to all. I am absolutely proud to be part of the “Celtic Family” – it truly is a privilege! Hail Hail!"
