Assistant Grounds Manager

Leading Turf Company in Qatar providing maintenance services for the football pitches related to World cup stadiums and Premier League clubs is looking for the following vacancy:

Position: Assistant Grounds Manager

Work Location: Qatar

Required qualification:

• Level 3 in sports and amenity turf maintenance including practical horticulture skills.
• Intermediate apprenticeship in a related area such as work-based horticulture, sports turf or greenkeeping

Work Experience:

Minimum 5 years of proven experience in the sports turf management field.

Job Description:

The Assistant Grounds Manager will be responsible for supporting and supervising grounds maintenance activities, including:

• Turf Maintenance: Mowing, strimming, weeding, watering, and clearing leaves from grass areas.
• Pitch Preparation: Marking and overmarking sports areas (football pitches, athletic tracks, etc.) according to specific league and event standards (like the Premier League or MLS rules).
• Horticultural Operations: Ground preparation, planting, turfing, seeding, and pruning.
• Equipment Management: Operating, cleaning, and performing minor maintenance on grounds equipment and machinery.
• Facility Management: Erecting and dismantling sports equipment (goals, nets), ensuring work areas are clean and secure, and general tidiness of external hard areas

• Safety & Compliance: Documenting safety checks, clearing snow/ice, and adherence to Health & Safety regulations.

Salary Package :

• Full package of £5,750 per month.
• Annual air tickets: Two return flights (employee + spouse) to home country
• Car with fuel and full maintenance.
• Monthly telephone package.
