Westminster School is seeking an experienced Groundsperson to help maintain our exceptional sporting facilities.

The School’s 10-acre playing field at Vincent Square, the largest square in Central London, is home to cricket and football pitches, tennis courts with both tarmac and artificial grass surfaces, and an activity area used by pupils from Westminster Under School.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all playing surfaces and surrounding areas are maintained to the highest standard. This will include preparing, marking and overmarking of sports pitches, caring for and maintaining grass, hedges and synthetic surfaces, and a variety of horticultural tasks such as planting, turfing, seeding and pruning.

They will also assist with the setting up and maintaining of sports equipment, ensuring that facilities are ready for school games and events.

About you

The successful candidate will need a Level 2 GMA Technical Certificate in Turf Surface Maintenance (or equivalent) and have proven experience in grounds maintenance. A full, clean UK driving licence is essential, as are strong communication skills and a good standard of written and spoken English.
