West Herts Sports Club wish to recruit a Grounds Supervisor at their Park Avenue Site in Watford. The successful candidate will be self- motivated and able to work independently on their own as well as interact with Club members from the various sporting sections. The Club maintains:• 2 Cricket Squares.• 4 grass football pitches• 1 Multi Use Games Area• 10 Tennis Courts (3 Grass).<h3>Main Duties:</h3>Day to Day Maintenance of all types of playing surfaces. A contactor will help with general upkeepof grounds (ie litter picking, leaf clearing weeding etc)Regular marking of playing surfaces.Work within a set Capital and Expense BudgetSafe use and operation of equipment and machinery used in grounds maintenance.Adherence to current HS&amp;E safety regulations and best practice.<h3>Working Pattern:</h3><ol><li>37.5 hrs per week.</li><li>You will be working 52 weeks per year.</li><li>20 days contractual holiday plus bank holidays</li><li>Flexibility in working hours will be required in peak times particularly during the summer and can be discussed with line manager.</li></ol><h3>Ideal Candidate:</h3>• General knowledge and experience of pitch preparation.• Level 2 in Sport Turf Management• PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates• Experience in preparation of cricketing and tennis grass surfaces.• UK Driving licence• A can do attitude.Applications with CV’s should be sent to Dennis Lock (email <a href="mailto:dennis.lock@icloud.com" target="_blank">dennis.lock@icloud.com</a>), If any further information about the post is required please phone (Mob 07792085329).Closing Date: 13th DECSalary Range: £30-35K - Depending on qualifications and experience.
